If your name is not monkey monkalunk then get out of here! Look. new improved super duper condensed version with all ranting removed! Get some Life advice from someone who has failed at it right here! Alriiiiiiiight! Pickle Riiiiiiiiiick!

One of the main things I worry about for you is how you will learn to decide what is true or not true and how curious you will be for knowledge. Well anyway, I will probably be dead by the time this is relevant but you will have a house to remember me by. I love you ma mate <3 I miss you a lot but I cant think about it, like my daughter and all the dogs.

  1. Always welcome mistakes. Welcome the chance to fix them, do it over. Relish them. Humanity has evolved with only one tool — the mistake. Each mistake leads to more understanding. Don’t worry about them so much. There is no shame. Revel in your mistakes. I’ve said this before, but it’s important. Actually, this is not strictly true — if you run over a rabbit while you’re driving, don’t revel in that. And also you can’t fix it, because you just squashed it. 😜 Also some mistakes have consequences (like meeting carrie lol), like if you work at NASA and you press the self-destruct button instead of the launch button, that probably wouldn’t be a good mistake. OK it turns out I know nothing about this subject.
  2. Don’t bother drinking alcohol, and avoid people whose lives revolve around it like the plague. In places where alcohol consumption is high, it becomes a core part of the culture — but that doesn’t make it worthwhile. Think of alcohol and drugs as the same: useless. People will tease you for not drinking and call it “part of growing up.” That’s peer pressure. It’s an illusion. At first, people who drink heavily might seem funny, different, or rebellious. Over time, the behaviour becomes predictable and sad. For autistic people, this environment is especially risky. Some use alcohol to ease discomfort or fit in socially, mistaking short-term relief for a solution. Others unconsciously mimic those around them to blend in, copying habits and attitudes without realising. If the people you’re around are reckless or self-destructive, imitation can lead to harm. Be aware of who you mirror.

Here is something off the internet about this mimicking/mirroring thing (or masking):

Autistic mimicry—also called social mimicry, camouflaging, or masking—is the unconscious or deliberate copying of others’ speech patterns, gestures, facial expressions, tone, posture, or even interests to fit in or avoid rejection.

Core points:

  1. Purpose
Mimicry often begins as a survival strategy. It helps avoid bullying, misunderstanding, or social isolation by blending into neurotypical expectations.
  2. Forms
    • Linguistic: adopting someone’s slang, rhythm, or accent.
    • Emotional: mirroring reactions to match group tone.
    • Behavioural: copying habits, interests, or attitudes.
    • Identity-level: taking on entire personas to maintain belonging.
  3. Mechanism
It can be partly automatic. Many autistic people have heightened pattern recognition and sensory mapping, making it easy to reproduce what they observe without intending to.
  4. Consequences
    • Short-term social success.
    • Long-term exhaustion, burnout, and confusion over personal identity.
    • Difficulty distinguishing genuine preferences from learned ones.
    • Emotional disconnection or delayed self-awareness.
  5. Recognition
Common signs include feeling different around different people, not knowing how to act alone, or experiencing “crashes” after socialising.
  6. Recovery
Reducing mimicry usually means allowing more solitude, identifying what feels natural, and spending time around people who don’t require performance.

MORE CRAP FROM ME

  • Stay away as much as possible from people with low intelligence. Sometimes confidence can be mistaken for intelligence. Watch out for that. I think you have to see this for yourself to really understand.
  • Look up critical thinking and debate clubs at Cambridge and Oxford universities. Check out how they debate, how they prove a point, how they react to someone making an argument that is outside the realms of logic. Look up the baloney detection kit as well. Debate and argument is really cool. Learn logic and critical thinking. Learn how to construct an effective argument. When its not idiots shouting at each other. When you get a good debate from really intelligent people it teaches you, you learn language. This will help you understand how to make an argument and how to react to someone talking rubbish at you.
  • Choose your friends very wisely. be very careful before you trust. sometimes the people you look up to are just using you. sometimes your best friends are calculating how to steal from you. If you are going to mimic someone unconsciously its best that the people around you have qualities you don’t mind mimicking.
  • Get out of Scotland as soon as possible. if possible get out of the UK entirely. there are so much nicer places to live where you can have peace and do art. i was always amazed by the lack of education there. people are dumb in London here but in scotland they are noticably dumberererer. lucky i left you with the skills to find out anything you need. reading, computer and internet! you are a one person university.
  • Don’t lose that part of you with infinite imagination, the childs imagination is very powerful, hang onto that bit. a lot of normal people lose it. you are capable of awesome art, i know it. art can be in many many forms. poetry painting music etc. you can express that part of you in many different ways in life. not just the obvious ones. you will see. most adults had an artistic period in their life but it disappears at a certain age for a lot of people. dont know why.
  • oh yeah, i should mention information. there is currently some kind of mad sick information war in the world where people argue over established fact. is the earth round. do i have two eyes, am i breathing in and out. etc ok i used too extreme examples there as usual :) what i am trying to say is – you have to be extremely discerning about what you believe now. back when i was a kid. there was one source of information and that was the end of it. no internet really, just the newspapers. now – if you want to believe something, you will almost always have a group of people that will believe it too. no matter what it is ! even the earth being flat and other stupid stuff like that. if in doubt. go to the most intelligent sources you can find and try to stick them together to form a view of whether the information is fact or not. if someone is posting it on the internet on social media. then assume that every single thing is a lie until proven otherwise by multiple scientists – science requires that the experiment be repeatable in order for it to be accepted. the amount of new information coming in now is insane. scotland is going frighteningly fascist. everyone has started singing the chorus of ‘immigrants are responsible for everything’, there is war everywhere. i actually thought WW3 was going to start already but for some reason it hasnt yet. this immigrants stuff is not new but they have been bombarded with it so much they repeat it. these are what me and my mate call the sluice. lol. they are people who dont want to know and only accept the first reason they pickup usually in a lazy way from either video or print media. they will change opinions based on the dominant narrative. you might have to look that up. its a useful phrase. basically what im saying is they read any old crap in a newspaper and repeat it like a parrot so they seem to have an opinion on it. for some people its just something to say to other people to seem like they think about stuff, its not actually an opinion its just parroted information.

humans need simple narratives to understand. they like to paint them even when something is not simple. they have to simplify it for some reason. a narrative is like a story basically. The universe is too complicated to fit into standard human narratives we have to simplify it.

Anyway monk. i love yer, i miss yer. Ill always be there for you if you need me if im alive. Unfortunately its almost impossible to find out how to get in touch with me unless i want you to so: me@krisweston.com is the way. I dont expect to hear from you again but it would brighten up my shitty life if i did.
